April 24-25 Muckleford Diggings
The Maxi is back. Derek Morris has set a 6 hour score course along with the traditional 3 hour and the 90 minute score course. The event will take place on ANZAC day, Sunday April 25, in the Muckleford State Forest near Maldon and Newstead. Entries are now open on Eventor. There will also be a Maprun BikeO-75 on the Saturday afternoon, April 24.
The 6 hour is for teams only. The 3 hour and the 90 minute are for teams or individuals.
Camping on Saturday night is available at the assembly area or, you may prefer to book accommodation nearby, if you are competing on both days.
The Muckleford Forest is a great area for a walk, jog, run or bike ride. Please spread the word to your non-OV friends. Eventor takes non-OV member entry as casual membership registration is now an option. A PDF entry form is also available on the Eventor site.
The Muckleford Forest is one of 315 recognised ‘Nature Hotspots’ across Australia. It provides an important habitat and food source for a range of native birds, bats and reptiles, which are under increasing pressure from habitat loss, disturbance and climate change.

May 15 Vic MTBO Champs – Middle – Maryborough
Our event is part of a weekend series beginning with a short course called the sprint on the Saturday. The Long Distance Champs are on the following day in the forest around Dunolly. The Middle Distance is being held in the Tullaroop Forest. Our club is responsible for organising the Middle Distance Champs, and along with the Eureka club are providing the start team for all three events.
Please contact Rob and Helen Edmonds if you can help out.
