Nillumbik Emus Orienteering Club History

The link above takes you to a summary of the club’s roots, the achievements of the club, and the members who actively supported the club over these years.

The Club’s present name, Nillumbik Emus Orienteering Club, resulted from an amalgamation of Nillumbik and EMUs at the end of 1993. The
Edmonds family had come to Nillumbik from the LMC, and Rob was the first President of Nillumbik Emus. Ron Frederick came from EMUs, and took part in the first official orienteering event held in Australia. He has been club President since 1998.
